Custom Shoulder Bag Sampling: What to Prepare Before a Quote

Prepare a custom shoulder bag sampling brief with real PU and canvas references, dimensions, logo details, color quantities and sample approval checks.

A useful custom shoulder bag sampling brief identifies the reference, the details you want to retain and the changes you need. Include body measurements, material and color direction, logo placement, quantities and packaging requirements. If a detail is undecided, mark it for review so an initial quotation assumption does not become an unintended production instruction.

Begin with a style code or an authorized design

Zise’s shoulder bag sample collection contains eight photographed references. Seven are supplied as PU directions; M13L6050 is a canvas direction. The images and source-listed dimensions provide a starting point for development, with the finished specification confirmed on the sample.

M13P0781 PU shoulder bag reference for a custom sampling brief
M13P0781 has source-listed dimensions of 31 x 18 x 11 cm. Its documented back pocket is one detail to identify in a sampling brief.

Use the reference code when you contact us. For M13P0781, for example, state whether you want to keep the body and back pocket, then describe any proposed color, logo, strap or interior changes. If you have your own construction, send views of the front, back, sides and interior, or a technical pack and physical sample where available.

Use drawings and artwork you are authorized to share. Starting from a reference does not establish design exclusivity; agree any ownership or exclusivity requirements separately. The OEM and ODM guide explains the two development starting points.

Separate body size from handle and strap measurements

Write dimensions with units and label the measurement directions. Specify body height separately from total height including the handle. For the M13P0759 reference, the source records a 30 x 16.5 x 13 cm body and a 26 cm height including the handle. Treating 26 cm as the body height would describe a different bag.

For the strap, include the required length range, adjustment method and attachment direction. Where a product must hold a specific item, provide that item’s measurements and ask for a physical fit check. The source images show small daily items; they do not verify laptop fit or a load rating.

M13L6050 has a source-listed width of 1 cm. Confirm that measurement with the physical reference before approving a new specification; do not infer usable internal capacity from a single measurement.

Specify the material and color you want to approve

For a PU reference, identify the surface texture, color, hand feel and any thickness or backing requirement you already have. For a canvas reference, describe the fabric direction and finish you need. Ask us to review a swatch when the material specification is still open.

Send a color reference or physical swatch where available. Identify the body, lining, strap and hardware colors separately. A photograph is useful for direction, but color should be confirmed on the agreed material or sample.

Do not treat a PU reference as verified genuine leather or as proof of a recycled-content claim. If your product copy or packaging requires a particular composition, test or claim, request the relevant project documentation. See the material information and documentation boundaries.

Make logo, pocket and hardware changes measurable

  • Send usable logo artwork, its width and height, the intended method and a placement measurement from a seam or edge.
  • For a pocket change, label its opening, depth, location and closure. Include what it needs to hold.
  • Identify the hardware finish and each component you want to replace or retain.
  • Describe strap adjustments separately from changes to the bag body.
  • Include lining, labels, hangtags, dust bags and other packaging requirements in the brief.

Color, logo, hardware, shoulder strap and interior pocket requirements can be reviewed for these references. Feasibility and quotation depend on the requested change. The logo guide explains the checks for different branding methods.

Include quantity and schedule before requesting the sample

The supplied starting conditions for this shoulder reference program are 100 pieces per color and 200 pieces per order, seven-day sampling and a 30-day production lead-time reference. Ask us to reconfirm the conditions for your chosen style and changes, including how quantities apply across styles.

Provide the delivery country and required date. Confirm when the sample clock starts, whether revisions need additional time, and which shipping arrangements are included in the quotation. Sample charges, custom tooling, inspection costs and international transit are separate questions; the listed timing alone does not answer them.

Prepare a style-by-color quantity breakdown using the low-MOQ planning guide. If your quantity is below the stated starting conditions, explain the request and ask about feasibility rather than assuming an exception.

A brief you can adapt for M13P0781

The following is an illustrative buyer brief, not a completed order or a confirmed quotation. Replace the proposed choices with your own requirements.

  • Reference: M13P0781; retain the reference body size, subject to sample confirmation.
  • Material: PU; request swatches for surface and hand-feel approval.
  • Quantity request: 100 black and 100 off-white; ask for confirmation for this single style.
  • Branding: interior label; artwork, label dimensions and sewing position to be supplied.
  • Construction: retain the documented back pocket; confirm pocket measurements and strap requirements.
  • Packaging and delivery: state the individual packing, label information, delivery country and required date.

Keep unresolved items visible in the quotation and sample revision notes. An approved reference code does not approve an unspecified material or logo.

Review the physical sample before bulk approval

Check the body dimensions and intended fit, then test the strap adjustment, closures and pockets. Review material feel, color, lining, stitching, hardware attachment and logo placement against the written brief. Inspect the packing and labels if they form part of the sample scope.

Send one consolidated revision list with measurements and annotated photographs. Retain the approved sample and versioned specification for the production review. Agree any tolerances and inspection arrangements in advance; see Zise’s quality-control checkpoints.

Request a reference-based sampling review

Browse the eight shoulder bag references, then send the style code, quantity split and requested changes. You can also review our factory information and development workflow.

Discuss sampling for M13P0781 or send a different shoulder bag brief.
